My name is Pat Goodberry-Dyck and I have experienced a significant amount of grief in my life.
In 1994 I went through a painful divorce - and I grieved. In 1996 my oldest sister passed away from a brain tumour - and I grieved. In 2000 my Dad passed away due to cancer - and I grieved. In 2012 my husband passed away from a heart attack - and I still grieve.
Through my experiences, I’ve learned much about the grief journey, and I’ve felt a passion around sharing those experiences with other people.
My purpose in developing this website is three-fold.
1 Intentional Living: Preparing for Grief
What are some of the things we can do to prepare for the loss of a loved one? What are some things we can do now that will help our loved ones once we are gone?
2 Surviving Grief
How can we be intentional about our grief, so we can come out the other side in a healthy way?
3 Helping others through Grief
What are some of the ways we can assist someone who is grieving?
The most significant factor in helping me survive my grief journey has been my faith in God. He has been with me every step of the way, I am truly blessed!
